We’re very excited to announce the dates for StartUp Weekend Kansas City. The weekend is planned for April 24 to the 26th from 6pm Friday to 9pm on Sunday.
The ‘work’ of the weekend will happen at the Entreprise Center of Johnson County (Map It >>). ECJC is the regional incubator for technology startups. From web to medical devices, Joel Wiggins and Rick Vaughn lead the ECJC team helping local entrepreneurs build scalable businesses.
They are providing 4 conference rooms, 2 meetings spaces and plenty of cubby spaces that we can access 24 hours a day, wifi, white board and soda-wired-enabled.
On Sunday, we’ll be moving to the Kauffman Foundation (Map it >>) for a 6pm demo and investor panel presentation. Kauffman is the global powerhouse behind entrepreneurial thought and funding. They host a ton of amazing programs to foster everything from micro-lending to technology fundamentals. They will host an evening of fun, cocktails, food, and presentations. Expect some special guests as well (we’ll announce later).
We are capping attendance in the weekend at 75…but the Sunday event is open to everyone!

typo “Apirl” throws off google calendar “quick add”
Are computers provided or do we bring laptops?
Laptops will not be provided, please bring your own. I would also suggest bringing a surge protector or an extension cord if outlets get scarce. We are not expecting any issues with power, but I have developed the habit to bring one when a group of developers are meeting.
Thanks - Steven
